Deforestation is a catalyst for the pollution of Earth’s breathable air. If current trends are allowed to persist, the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere would render this planet uninhabitable, forcing us to devise new means by which our lungs could extract vital elements.

It is common knowledge, and often denoted by signage, that many strom drainage systems are designed to drain the untreated storm water into rivers and streams, this rarely dissuades people from being careful about what else is being washed into them. These pollutants not only cause damage to the local and eventual global ecosystem, they also find their way into our bodies through our food and water. The general disregard for protecting potable water will catch up with us sooner than later.

It takes a massive amount of energy to sustain the infrastructure that supports humanity, and the methods used to generate the amount of energy necessary to run the world creates lots of waste.

There is an effort to discontinue using old, wasteful methods of energy production, but unfortunately, there still are entities who wish to keep using the same old methods. This desire to keep things the same results in an undue resistance towards more environmentally responsible methods of energy production.
